Summary:
To enroll or make changes to your WMATA SmartBenefits, please complete the form below and submit via the HR helpdesk. When enrolling or making changes, please be advised of WMATA's processing deadlines. All enrollment changes must be received by the 15th of a month in order to be active the first day of the following month. Otherwise, benefits will not be active until two months later For example, if Mia submitted an enrollment or change form by December 15th, the benefits will be active by January 1st. If Mia submits a form between December 16th- December 31st, the benefits will not be active until February 1st.
In order to ensure that your benefits take effect, please be sure your card is registered. Benefits will not load unless the card is registered. If you need to register your SmarTrip card, please create a WMATA online account: https://smartrip.wmata.com/account/create *
Benefits Reassignment:
If your card is lost, stolen, or damaged, please contact WMATA and Human Resources. WMATA will deactivate the card and HR help reassign your benefit. When reaching out to HR, please contact us via the HR helpdesk and provide the following:
- New card number
- Old card number, if possible
Again, your card must be registered with WMATA in order to complete a benefits reassignment process.
