Printix is a cloud printing platform that allows IT to manage the printers and their queues without the need to maintain a print server on premise. With Printix, we are able to quickly make changes to printer drivers and configurations, manage user and computer properties, run print reports and keep track of printer metrics.

Setup

Follow these steps after the Printix client has been installed on your computer

  1. Sign in to Printix by clicking on the Printix icon on the bottom right. Select “Sign in with Microsoft” and entering your Prosperity Now credentials.
  2. Click the Printix icon to bring up the menu. Select “Printers…” to choose which printers you’d like to deploy to your computer.
  3. Once you’ve selected the printers you’d like to deploy to your machine, press “Add.” This may take a few minutes. Once finished, you should be all set to start printing!

Using Printix and its Features

After Printix has been set up and the printers have been deployed to your computer, printing should be no different than normal. However, Printix does offer many features that can make your printing experience better.

There are two printing methods on Printix known as print now and print later.

  • Print now will print the document immediately at the printer you selected.
  • Print later will keep the document on hold at the printer until you release it via the web app. NOTE: This can also be done through the copiers printing preferences via Job Holding.

To access the web portal, use your computer (preferably a laptop) or your smartphone and go to prosperitynow.printix.net. From there you can release any documents you’ve selected to print later.
